O gracious heavenly Father, I praise You for You are worthy to be praised. You alone are worthy, and for that I will lift my voice and proclaim Your goodness and grace. As I begin my day, Father, I humbly ask for Your cleansing in my life. I confess that I have sinned against You and Your word and am not worthy to approach Your throne of mercy. Yet, I will claim Your promise that whoever asks for forgiveness would be forgiven.
Bless me, O God, throughout the day and let not my thoughts stray away from Your commandments. Help me overcome the trials to make me strong, and the temptations that highlight my weaknesses. I can only depend on You for wisdom, strength and protection. Teach me to care for others, and empathize to what they are going through. May Your words remind me to be compassionate towards others and be an example of selfless love.
I also humbly ask You, Father, to bless my family and friends, and keep them away from harm. Protect them as You are continuously protecting and guiding me. I pray that their prayers would be answered, in accordance with Your sovereign will. May we learn to trust in Your plan and not on our own wisdom and ways.
Finally, let the light You began with me shine towards others who are in darkness. May the light of Christ shine through me, allowing Him to touch and change their lives. I admit that I cannot do anything apart from the ability that comes from the Lord. Help me to accomplish all the things that need to be done. When the day ends and You have once again given me victory and good success, I will bring You all the praises, the glory, and the thanksgiving. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
