Heavenly Father, You are our Lord and Savior. You are the Author of life and of this universe. You are the only source of every delegated authority. We worship You for who You are.
I thank You for showing me that You are Sovereign and in control of everything here on Earth. Thank You, Lord, for giving me hope in this time of crisis. You are the only hope and refuge of this human race.
Today, I choose to pray for our government leaders and all delegated authority. Their role as decision-makers and leaders of their nations and community are critical during this time. I pray that they will find wisdom in all the things that they do. I pray, Lord, that they will acknowledge You in this time of crisis and will come to You for help.
I pray that they will humble down before You and truly understand their accountability as leaders to whom You have entrusted Your authority. I pray that they will receive the wisdom that comes from Heaven – one that is pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of Mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere (James 3:17).
Lord, I pray that during these trying times, our leaders will truly rise to fully represent Your authority. I pray that You will take away any form of twistedness that the enemy has made of our leaders now. Save them from the manipulation of the devil. Help them stand as true representatives of godly authority.
I pray that You will help them become the kind of leaders that our nation needs. I pray for Your mercy to be upon them. Speak to them, Lord, in a very personal way. Talk to them and reveal Yourself to them. I pray that this country will have God-fearing servants. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
