God, I praise and worship You. You are my Maker, my Father, and the Almighty. Indeed, You are an amazing God who loves me beyond what I can ever imagine. You are also a Promise-keeper and a Rewarder. You give strength to those who wait for You. Thank You for my life, for everything You’ve done for me, and because I know that I will spend eternity with You. I can never comprehend what You have in store for me. So thank You.
Almighty, I fall short in trusting You most of the time. I fail to acknowledge Who You are when I want to take control of everything. I am sorry, Lord, for not trusting You with all my heart because I choose to lean on my own understanding. Because of this, I often get hurt, disappointed, or frustrated when things do not go as I have planned. But now I realize that You are just saving me from possible damage I may encounter along the way.
Forgive me for all the times I became impatient. I understand now, God, that You made me for You. That is why I’m always looking for something more, something eternal that will fulfill the longing in my heart. I know that You already have great plans ahead of me that I can never think of. So on days that I refuse to surrender my doubts to You, may I be reminded that all beautiful things happen when You say, “It’s time.”
Lord, I know nothing can stop You from fulfilling Your plans, not even my doubts and fears. So please remove all the stubbornness in my heart and replace it with humility. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I may always trust in Your timing. Help me not to be impatient when I experience delays in Your blessings. Lastly, please help me not to take matters into my own hands. Instead, help me wait for You quietly, patiently, and expectantly. In Jesus’ name, amen.
