Jesus, You are the lover of my soul. Thank You because I can always come to You, even with a heavy heart. Lately, I have been feeling empty and unmotivated. I know I have been busy with many things that have taken Your place in my heart. I am sorry, and I repent. Today, I come to You with an open heart because I know that You are the source of everlasting Joy.
My Lord, I understand now that the abundant life You’re talking about is not having all the good things in life but having You, Jesus Christ, as my Lord and Savior. I ask that You help me know and understand what You have designed beforehand in my life so that I may see and pursue Your purpose, not what I want to do. I surrender all my ambitions to You, Who knows me better than I know myself.
I pray that I will constantly fear You and keep Your commands so that I will always fulfill Your purpose in me. I pray that You will allow me to know and encounter You in a more personal way. Also, Jesus, help me trust in Your character and faithfulness to fulfill all Your promises. I know I have been falling short because I have been trying to control everything, but today, I submit to You all my agendas that are not in accordance with Your will.
My Redeemer, please give me the strength to rise on my feet and feel motivated again. But this time, I pray I will learn to make you my number one priority. I want to live with the right purpose. I do not want to live for myself anymore. Please continue to guide me as I live a life that is pleasing to You so that I can make a difference in the lives of others for eternity and, most of all, for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.
